PARADE GETS CJD OFF AND ROLLING

- ISLAND STYLE: Logan Nedrow of Enterprise rides in the Chief Joseph Days Junior Parade Thursday on her horse, Pumba. The 3-year-old dressed up as an "aloha cowgirl" for the parade. (The Observer/GARY FLETCHER).
JOSEPH Chief Joseph Days kicked into high gear Thursday with the Junior Parade.
The event continues through Sunday.
Today’s highlights include the traditional Indian dance contest at 3 p.m. in the encampment pavilion, PRCA rodeo at 7, the adult dance at 9 in the Thunder Room featuring McKenzie River Band and cowboy breakfast starting at 11 p.m. at the rodeo grounds.
Sunday’s highlights include Cowboy church services at 9 a.m. at the Harley Tucker Memorial Arena sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys. The PRCA rodeo’s final go-round starts at 2 p.m.
