LOCAL FUNERALS AND VISITATIONS
April 1 – Henrietta Ritchey, viewing, 4 to 6 p.m., Loveland Funeral Chapel
April 2 – Henrietta Ritchey, celebration of life, 2 p.m., Loveland Funeral Home
April 3 – Ernest Neal, celebration of life, 10 a.m., First Baptist Church; burial, Enterprise Cemetery
April 4 – Wally Pruitt, graveside service, 11 a.m., Wallowa Cemetery
Carol Lee Slack, 67, of Elgin, died at 2 a.m. March 28 at her home. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Carol was born March 28, 1942, in Albuquerque, N.M. She lived and was schooled in Vancouver, Wash. Carol moved to Elgin in 1977.
Those who knew Carol say she loved her Lord with all of her heart. She was a member of the New Life Center Church and loved spending time debating political and world events.
Her passions in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol was also an avid fisherman and loved camping, the outdoors and shopping.
Those who knew Carol say she was the kind of person who didn’t know a stranger. They say she was generous to those in need.
Survivors include four children, Robert Moody, Shelley Albrandt, Todd Allen Moody and Vance Moody, all of Elgin; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister, Sandra Sue Larrabee of Vancouver, Wash.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Morgan and Goldie Shoemaker; brothers, Jesse Richard Morgan and James Gordon Morgan; and sister, Betty Jean Ray.
