The 3 Rivers Race Against Domestic Violence ride/run fundraiser

Saturday has been a success, according to a spokeswomen for the

organizers.

“This has been a very special 10th anniversary for the 3 Rivers Race

Against Domestic Violence. La Grande and North Powder business owners

showed outstanding support, and our contestants have put us over the

top.

“We are so close to our goal of $16,000, that we are confident we’ll

get there by the end of the fiscal year,” said Mary Ellen LaBerge.

=”This couldn’t have been possible without the dedicated drive of our participants – whose fund-raising efforts have raised over $140,000 over the past 10 years. According to LaBerge, the support the ride/run event had from local businesses helped make it a success.

Agri-Star was in a class by itself, donating more than $1,000 to be the only business in the Diamond category.

In the $1,000 Platinum group, there were Pacific Empire Radio Corp. and The River.

The Gold level sponsors ($500) for the event included Mountain Valley Therapy, Grande Ronde Hospital, Michael Powell/Massage for Every Body, Legacy Ford and Aramark.

The Silver level sponsors ($250) included The Mountain Works, The Plantworks LLC, PandE Distributors, Obsidian Urgent Care, Cory Larvik, Union Wallowa Baker Credit Union, Boise Cascade, Kehr Chiropractic, Michael Rushton Podiatry, Mt. Emily Ale House, Les Schwab Tire Center, Arrow Associated Stores, RE/MAX Real Estate, Allied Mortgage, A and B Enterprises, Summit Ridge, Wildhorse Resort and Casino, EONI and The Trophy Case.
