An Elgin man accused of rape and sexual abuse is scheduled to go to trial on the charges next month.
Roy Horn, 61, pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday to charges of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse. A trial date was set for Dec. 17 and 18.
Horn was arrested in mid-October by the Union County Sheriff’s Office. At that time, the Federal Bureau of Investigations was enlisted to help investigators look at a computer seized at Horn’s residence.
Sheriff’s officials say the victim was a minor child.
