Service begins with blessing of animals
The La Grande United Methodist Church will celebrate the Festival of God’s Creation beginning at
9:45 a.m. Sunday.
Traditionally observed the Sunday nearest Earth Day, the festival is a celebration of God’s gift of creation and a commitment to be stewards of the environment.
The celebration will begin in the church parking lot with a blessing of the animals.
All pets are welcome but must be on sturdy leashes and/or under control.
After the blessing, a classic worship service will be held inside at 10 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship.
