Two people injured in watercraft accident at Wolf Creek Reservoir

NORTH POWDER — Two people were seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a watercraft accident at Wolf Creek Reservoir, seven miles northwest of North Powder.

The accident was reported shortly before 2 p.m. One of the victims was flown by a Life Flight aircraft to a medical center in Walla Walla, Washington, and another was transported by ground ambulance to Grande Ronde Hospital, according to Chris Arvidson, an emergency medical technician for the North Powder Quick Response Team.

Those responding to the accident included Union County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the La Grande Fire Department which sent an ambulance.
