Walling arrested by law enforcement

The Union County Major Crimes Team has found, and arrested, one of the two assault suspects who were being sought after they fled the scene on Monday night.
Earlier this morning, Eric Hans-Austin Walling Jr. was located at the Royal Motor Inn by law enforcement, according to a press release from the La Grande Police Department.
He was arrested without incident. Walling was one of two men who was wanted after they assaulted two victims at Thunderbird Apartments on Monday night. The two victims, who were brothers, were taken to the Grande Ronde Hospital with blunt force trauma to the face. Witnesses also said Walling and Leonel Orlando Martinez, 29, who has not been found, fired multiple shots in the vicinity of the victims.
Right now, Walling is being charged with two counts of third-degree assault and two counts of fourth-degree assault.
He also had multiple warrants for his arrest prior to the assault. Those include a Union County warrant on a charge of probation violation on an original charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first-degree theft and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (meth); a Union County warrant on a charge of probation violation and third-degree criminal mischief; a Baker County warrant on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Others charges include unlawful possession of a controlled substance (meth) and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (meth).
