WEDNESDAY
The Union County Sheriff’s Office at about 8:10 a.m. responded to the Island City Walmart, 11619 Island Ave., on a parking complaint. A deputy gave a warning.
La Grande police at about 11:55 a.m. responded to the 2800 block of Fourth Street on a report of harassment and trespassed one male from the location.
A caller at 1:37 p.m. reported possible animal abuse on the 2300 block of Q Avenue, La Grande.
A caller at 3:18 p.m. reported an abandoned wheelchair on the 1500 block of Fifth Street, La Grande. The parking enforcement officer picked up the wheelchair and took a report for found property.
La Grande police at 3:41 p.m. responded to two juveniles fighting at Cove Avenue and 27th Street. Turned out they are only playing.
Law enforcement at 4:04 p.m. responded to the 1800 block of Fourth Street to speak to someone about possible drug activity. Police determined the substance was burnt coffee.
A caller at 6:37 p.m. reported a road hazard at 16th Street and H Avenue, La Grande. An officer removed a dead cat from the road.
THURSDAY
La Grande police at 7:46 a.m. received a report of two white, short-hair dogs missing from the 1600 block of Y Avenue. The animal enforcement officer found and returned the dogs to the owner.
A caller at 10:26 a.m. reported vandalism on the 2700 block of Oak Street, La Grande. Police took a report.
The school resource officer at about 12:20 p.m. received a report of an assault involving a student in Union. The officer talked to people involved about options.
An aggressive dog on the loose drew a complaint at 1:23 p.m. from a La Grande caller on the 2100 block of Third Street. The animal enforcement officer advised the owner of the dog and made sure it was no longer running about.
La Grande police at 3:14 p.m. received a report about theft and criminal mischief on the 62100 block of Fruitdale Lane.
La Grande police at 3:29 p.m. received a report about a possible sex crime.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office at 7:28 p.m. received a report of possible child abuse in Elgin.
La Grande police at about 6 p.m. arrested Dustin Michael Webb-Davies, 27, of La Grande, on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. Webb-Davies was in the Union County Jail, La Grande, at the time of the arrest on charges of felony assault and criminal mistreatment of a child younger than 10.
According to state court records, the district attorney’s office on Wednesday indicted Webb-Davies on the sex crime charges, accusing him of molesting a girl younger than 14. The court records indicate the two cases against Webb-Davies have different victims.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office at about 10:10 p.m. responded to a report of suspicious circumstances on the 1600 block of Russel Avenue, La Grande. A deputy talked to the people involved, determined there was not crime and counseled them.
