William “Will” Jordan Voss, known by many as Will Bill, age 30, of Enterprise, Oregon, died Thursday, September 2, 2021, by his own hand. Will was born December 1, 1990, in Ashland, Oregon, and raised by his parents, Dwayne and Carol Voss, along with his sister, Erin, outside of Joseph, Oregon, on their family ranch. Growing up Will enjoyed floating the ditch on the property, playing with the lambs, and tagging along with his dad to haul hay. And then as he got older hunting, fishing and chasing his hound dogs through the snow.

After graduating from Enterprise High School in 2009, Will went on to work a variety of different jobs, including fighting fire, before settling back in Joseph to work on the family ranch. Will started dating Jessica “Jessi” Probert and later proposed New Year’s Eve 2016. They married on the Lightning Creek Ranch September 2, 2017. They enjoyed spending time together on the Voss and Probert ranches, raising cattle and spending their time outdoors. Will enjoyed taking care of his heifers so much, Jessi joked she wished that Will wanted to spend as much time with her as he did the heifers. Will and Jessi welcomed their first child, a son, Augustus Jack, on April 16, 2019. Followed two years later, by daughter, DaniRae Dayle, on August 9, 2021.

Will is survived by wife, Jessi; children, Augustus and DaniRae; parents, Dwayne and Carol; sister, Erin; half siblings, Chris and Joie; in-laws, Dan and Suzy Probert, Russell and Ducki Probert; and godchildren, Jacob and Isabelle Casper; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Chief Joseph Days Thunder Room in Joseph, Oregon, on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 3 p.m., followed by dinner.

“Will should be remembered as a great man. He was a wonderful husband, father, son and friend to many. Will lost his passion for life in the darkness but his family wants everyone to remember his good attributes and his love for his family and friends. Please remember he was a wonderful man and his ending is not his story.”
