OHA reports five new COVID-19 cases in Union County

SALEM — The Oregon Health Authority released its updated daily COVID-19 report on Thursday, Dec. 2, showing five new cases in Union County and three new cases in Wallowa County.
The report brings Union County’s total to 3,392 since the start of the pandemic, while Wallowa County is up to 760. Neither county had any deaths on the report.
Across Oregon, 1,111 new confirmed and presumptive cases were reported to OHA. The update revealed 25 new deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 392,197 positive COVID-19 cases and 5,186 deaths in the state.
OHA’s weekly COVID-19 outbreak report showed 54 active outbreaks in senior living communities and congregate living settings in Oregon.
There are currently 404 patients in the state hospitalized with COVID-19, with 92 in intensive care unit beds. Out of 691 adult ICU beds in Oregon, 49 are currently available. There are 270 open adult non-ICU beds out of 4,108.
The current seven-day running average of vaccine doses per day stands at 12,208.
