Wednesday, Dec. 22

8:18 a.m. — A resident on the 500 block of Washington Avenue, La Grande, reported a theft.

8:33 a.m. — A caller reported a person on the 700 block of North 15th Avenue, Elgin, was experiencing mental health issues.

10:07 a.m. — An animal enforcement officer responded to the 2300 block of Jefferson Avenue, La Grande, for an injured cat and took the animal to the Animal Health Center, 10302 Wallowa Lake Highway, La Grande.

12:30 p.m. — A La Grande resident on the 600 block of 12th Street reported a burglary. Police responded and took a report.

2:27 p.m. — La Grande police received a complaint about criminal mischief on the 1200 block of 25th Street. An officer responded and took a report.

7:32 p.m. — La Grande police responded to the Best Western Plus Rama Inn & Suites, 1711 21st St., on a report of a theft and arrested Shiloh Kane Dickenson, 37, on a Union County probation violation warrant and on a Umatilla County warrants for failure to appear.

10:48 p.m. — A resident on the 10400 block of South Grandview Drive, La Grande, reported a suspicious vehicle was parked in the neighborhood. A Union County sheriff’s deputy responded and found the driver had gone to the wrong house.

11:10 p.m. — A La Grande police officer responded to the Longbranch Bar & Eats, 208 Depot St., on a report of a disturbance. The officer trespassed two subjects.

Thursday, Dec. 23

12:42 a.m. — A caller reported two teens were arguing on the 10100 block of East Fourth Street, La Grande. Local law enforcement responded and found this was verbal and not physical.

12:56 a.m. — A caller complained about a noise disturbance at a residence on the 1200 block of Adams Avenue, La Grande. An officer responded and the subject turned down the music.

3:30 a.m. — La Grande police received a complaint about noise at the Royal Motor Inn, 1510 Adams Ave. An officer searched the area but found no one making noise.

8:03 a.m. — Emergency services responded to the area of 65700 Hunter Road, Summerville, on a report of a traffic crash with injuries.

8:43 a.m. — La Grande police received a report of a person suffering a mental health problem at a residence on the 1200 block of Adams Avenue. An officer made contact and advised the person to contact mental health providers.

9:25 a.m. — La Grande police responded to the 2800 block of Maple Street on a request for a welfare check. The subject was fine.

9:29 a.m. — La Grande police responded to the 2200 block of Island Avenue on a request for a welfare check. The subject was fine.

11:35 a.m. — The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart, 11619 Island Ave., Island City, for trespassing. The sheriff’s office cited a 40-year-old man on four Union County warrants for failure to appear on misdemeanor charges of theft, trespass and littering.

2:27 p.m. — La Grande police responded to a residence on the 2600 block of May Lane on a request for a welfare check. The subject was fine.

4:17 p.m. — A caller reported someone may be suffering a mental problem on the 2100 block of Fir Street, La Grande. Police responded and found everything was fine.

8:27 p.m. — A Union County sheriff’s deputy responded to a residence in Union for a person suffering mental or emotional duress. The sheriff’s office contacted the Center for Human Development Inc., which assisted.

10:56 p.m. — La Grande police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on the 2900 block of Third Street. The disturbance was verbal only.
