OHA reports 34 new COVID-19 cases in Union County

SALEM – The Oregon Health Authority released its daily COVID-19 update on Tuesday, Feb. 8, revealing 34 new cases in Union County. Wallowa County tallied 10 cases on the report.
The new cases increased Union County’s total case count since the start of the pandemic to 4,825. Wallowa County has tallied 1,186 cases since the start of COVID-19.
Across the state, OHA reported 3,248 new confirmed and presumptive cases — Oregon’s total case count since the start of the pandemic stands at 665,486. The report showed 21 new deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 6,265.
There are currently 1,055 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Oregon, which is a decrease of 17 patients from yesterday’s report.
Out of 618 total adult ICU beds in the state, 57 are currently available. There are 297 open adult non-ICU beds out of 4,105 in the state.
Oregon’s seven-day running average of vaccine doses per day is 7,472.
