OHA reports 12 new COVID-19 cases in Union County

SALEM — The Oregon Health Authority released its updated COVID-19 report on Friday, Feb. 18, revealing 12 new COVID-19 cases in Union County on Feb. 16. Wallowa County tallied 13 cases in the report.

The new cases increased Union County’s total case count since the start of the pandemic to 4,942, while Wallowa saw its total rise to 1,215.

Across the state, 1,844 new confirmed and presumptive cases were reported — Oregon’s total case count is up to 684,441.

The report showed 28 new deaths across the state, increasing the state’s death toll to 6,444. Neither Union County nor Wallowa County recorded any deaths in the latest update from OHA.

OHA reported that there are currently 788 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 across Oregon. Out of 679 total adult ICU beds in the state, 78 are currently available. There are 302 open adult non-ICU beds out of 4,274 in Oregon.

Oregon’s seven-day running average of vaccine doses per day is 5,722.
