OHA reports no new COVID-19 cases in Union County over the weekend

SALEM — The Oregon Health Authority released its daily COVID-19 report, revealing that Union County has no new COVID-19 cases over the three day weekend, signalling hope that the end of the pandemic is close at hand. Wallowa County registered six new cases over teh weekend.

Union County’s total case count remains 5,006 since the start of the pandemic, while Wallowa County’s total stands at 1,247.

The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 248, which is five fewer than yesterday. There are 38 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, which is one fewer than yesterday.

There are 102 available adult ICU beds out of 668 total (15% availability) and 418 available adult non-ICU beds out of 4,255 (10% availability).

Across the state, 775 new confirmed and presumptive cases were reported by OHA — Oregon’s case count since the start of the pandemic increased to 699,960. The report showed 16 new deaths, increasing the state’s death toll to 6,885.

Oregon’s seven-day running average of vaccine doses per day is 2,583.
