La Grande man arrested for more than 50 counts of theft

LA GRANDE — A La Grande man was arrested Sunday, May 22, for more than 50 counts of theft.

Braydon Carroll, 22, was arrested at 2:49 p.m. in La Grande. Carroll, an employee of the La Grande Inn, used another individual’s credit card information to purchase hotel rooms and food — the charges to the card eclipsed $1,000, according to La Grande Police.

Carroll was arrested for four counts of theft in the second degree, 27 counts of theft in the third degree, 22 counts of identity theft and 22 counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.

According to La Grande Police Lt. Jason Hays, the theft was estimated to have started around April 18 and continued into May. 

Carroll was lodged in the Union County Jail.
