Walla Walla VA to hold virtual community clergy training program June 23

WALLA WALLA, Wash. — The Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center’s Chaplain Service is hosting a virtual community clergy training program on Wednesday, June 23, from 8-10 a.m. for clergy throughout the Jonathan M. Wainwright VA’s catchment area, which includes Union County.

The purpose of the training is to provide support to rural clergy and educate them on the readjustment and other needs of returning veterans and their families.

Presentations include topics such as suicide prevention, presented by Jonathan M. Wainwright VA’s chaplain, Neissha King, and moral injury, presented by guest presenter Dr. Jeanette Harris.
