Prep football roundup: Cougars blanked, Enterprise rolls at Dufur Classic

DUFUR — Cardinal and Cougar football fans were forced to stay late as the Ione/Arlington and Wallowa football game was the final game of the day as action wrapped up at the Dufur Classic on Saturday, Sept. 3.

The two teams finally were able to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. and as the clock wound down, the Cardinals left the field with a 48-0 victory over the Cougars in nonleague action.

Wallowa (0-1 overall) faces three straight games on the road starting with a nonleague matchup versus Sherman/Condon (1-0 overall) on Friday, Sept. 9. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

ENTERPRISE 48, MOHAWK 14

DUFUR — The Enterprise football squad is off and running this season after a 48-14 victory over Mohawk on Saturday, Sept. 3, while taking part in the Dufur Classic.

Enterprise (1-0 overall) continues with nonleague play on Friday, Sept. 9, with a trip to Imbler (1-0 overall) in a battle of early season unbeatens. The game begins at 2 p.m.
