Men’s cross-country: Eastern Oregon named CCC team of the week

CORVALLIS — After a dominant win at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Preview meet on Friday, Sept. 9, Eastern Oregon University’s men’s cross-country team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for Sept. 5-11, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sept. 11.

The 13th-ranked Mounties flirted with a perfect score and cruised to a dominant win, putting five runners in the top-six to compile 17 points. It beat out runner-up No. 10-ranked Southern Oregon University by 42 points. 

EOU’s Justin Ash won the individual event, completing the 8,000-meter race at Clover Road Field in 25 minutes, 30.2 seconds.

The Mounties are back in action on Friday, Sept. 16, at home for the EOU Invitational.
