Top law enforcement officials in La Grande and Union County shared their thoughts on the recent “swatting” incident at La Grande High School. Both La Grande Police Chief Gary Bell and Union County Sheriff Cody Bowen agree this type of hoax can be dangerous for a number of reasons and could lead to undue panic, while tying up valuable resources. Reporter Isabella Crowley does good work here digging into this issue.

Reporter Dick Mason has followed a long with the filming of “Breakup Season” in La Grande. He has done a pair of stories — here and here — and added one more this week on the wrap party at HQ in downtown La Grande.
