MONDAY, JUNE 26
2:45 a.m.: La Grande police received a call about an assault at Long Branch. Medical was dispatched and officers responded to the scene. Law enforcement will do follow up.
7:41 a.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a disturbance happening on the 65800 block of Hunter Road in Summerville. A deputy responded and determined the situation was verbal only. The parties were separated.
8:44 a.m.: The dispatch center received a non-communicative 911 call from someone in Elgin. A deputy responded and counseled the subject.
9:33 a.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office received an animal complaint on the 2300 block of Spruce Street in La Grande. The animal enforcement officer responded and explained the available options.
10:21 a.m.: A caller told La Grande police about an assault on the 900 block of Sunset Drive. An officer responded and took a report.
10:56 a.m.: La Grande police received a call about a careless driver at Pioneer Park. An officer responded and counseled the driver.
12:24 p.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a civil issue on the 63000 block of Owsley Canyon Road in La Grande. A deputy responded and cited Carolina Len Porter, 59, for criminal trespass.
3:18 p.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Officer received a call about a trespass at the Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church in Island City. A deputy responded, but the subject was gone upon arrival and the building was secured.
4:13 p.m.: A caller requested contact from La Grande police about a possible stolen vehicle from Madison Avenue. An officer reached out and will follow up.
6:23 p.m.: La Grande police received a complaint of a sex crime.
7:08 p.m.: A caller requested contact from La Grande police about harassment. An officer responded, but the individual did not want to pursue charges. The officer explained the available options.
9 p.m.: Law enforcement received a call of a person possibly missing in Elgin. A deputy advised and Union County Search and Rescue was activated. Law enforcement took a report.
TUESDAY, JUNE 27
12:29 a.m.: A caller told La Grande police about juveniles causing a disturbance at Y Avenue and Birch Street. Officers responded and counseled the youths.
7:21 a.m.: La Grande police received a call about a transient camp at Pioneer Park. An officer responded and trespassed two subjects.
7:40 a.m.: La Grande police received a call about a transient individual at Pioneer Park. Officers responded and trespassed one male subject.
8:43 a.m.: Williams County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeramie Lee Gillman, 45, on a Union County probation violation warrant. Original charges included three counts of recklessly endangering another person, two counts of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, and second-degree criminal mischief.
9:09 a.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about harassment on the 100 block of North 10th Avenue in Elgin. A deputy reached out to both parties and advised there to be no further contact.
1:16 p.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about feral cats on the 2600 block of Fourth Street in La Grande. The animal enforcement officer made contact and explained the options available.
3:05 p.m.: A caller reported a possible drug law violation on the 2300 block of Jefferson Avenue to La Grande police. Officers responded and warned two subjects.
3:56 p.m.: During a field interrogation on Alder Street in Elgin, the Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Devonte Xavier Abram, 23, for second-degree burglary.
4:45 p.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about possible animal abuse on the 870 block of West Arch Street in Union. The animal enforcement officer reached out and took the information.
5:03 p.m.: A caller told La Grande police about unlawful entry into a motor vehicle at Our Lady of the Valley. An officer reached out and took a report.
7:52 p.m.: Law enforcement received a call about child abandonment at Walmart in Island City. A La Grande police officer responded and counseled the subject.
7:53 p.m.: While out with a vehicle at Banner Bank, La Grande police arrested Brianna Kay Black, 24, on a Wallowa County secret indictment warrant charging first-degree burglary, three counts of first-degree theft, being a felon in possession of a firearm, first-degree forgery, possession of burglary tools and second-degree trespass.
9:25 p.m.: During a traffic stop at 16th Street and H Avenue, Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lewis Eugene Richards, 28, for misdemeanor driving while suspended.
11:05 p.m.: Baker County Sheriff’s Office arrested Taylor Gordon Morris, 31, on a Union County failure to appear warrant with original charges of interfering with peace or parole and probation officer.
