Area schools complete seasons for OSAA Cup

WILSONVILLE — The Oregon School Activities Association released the final results for the OSAA Cup, a culmination of the school year’s activities.

Schools earn points competing in OSAA state championships and for top 10 finishes in the academic all-state program. Points are also awarded to schools having no ejections of a varsity player or coach.

La Grande finished the year with a third-place showing in the 4A ranks with a point total of 3,052.5.

Scappoose won the 4A title with Philomath taking second.

In the 1A ranks, Union was the top local finisher, placing eighth after finishing the year with 1,265 points. Just outside the top 10, Powder Valley finished 11th after a point total of 1,140 points. One spot back in 12th, with 1,120 points, was Cove and Imbler, with 1,100 points, saw the Panthers claim the 13th spot. Elgin, with a point total of 885 points, finished the year in 28th among 1A schools.
