• LA GRANDE — The Union County Board of Commissioners meets for a regular session Wednesday, Sept. 6, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Joseph Building, 1106 K Ave., La Grande. The Union County transient room tax will be one of the subjects discussed. The public can attend in person, by phone or via Zoom.

Barbecue meal and giveaways featured at Old West Credit Union

UNION — The Union branch of Old West Federal Credit Union, 539 S. Main St., is holding its annual community and member appreciation barbecue Thursday, Sept. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event features hamburgers, side dishes, desserts and beverages, plus giveaways including drawings for gift cards to local businesses.
