The first half was a much closer game than the final score as the Panthers led by a score of only 24-12.
“We struggled in the first half with too many turnovers and mistakes,” said Imbler head coach Dustan Adams. “Penalties stopped some drives.”
The halftime talk must have been a good one as Imbler returned in the third quarter with 22 points and held the Rangers scoreless for the remainder of the game.

“The third quarter changed the whole momentum of the game,” Adams said. “Our offensive line did a great job all evening.”
Imbler (2-0 overall) begins 1A 8-man Special District 2 play on Sept. 15 with a home game against Crane (2-0 overall).
Home fans should expect to see points on the board as the Mustangs have scored 104 points in their two opening wins, just two points more than Imbler’s 102 points in the Panthers’ two victories to open the season.
