Sitting with a 1-1 overall record early in the season, La Grande dropped out of the OSAA top 10 coaches poll on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023.

LA GRANDE — A victory over Klamath Union on Saturday, Sept. 9, did not keep the La Grande football team in the top 10, according to the Oregon School Activities Association’s coaches poll released Sept. 13.

After holding down the ninth spot last week, La Grande fell out of the top 10 in the voting by the state’s coaches.

Scappoose and Mazama switched spots this week with Scappoose now leading the voting while Mazama placed second in the tallies.

Pendleton/Nixyaawii made the largest leap in the poll, rising from eighth last week to the fourth position this week. Tillamook, after a loss, fell from last week’s third place to this week’s eighth.
