ENTERPRISE — Elgin has now won five of its last six matches, including a 3-1 victory over the 2A Enterprise on Tuesday, Sept. 19, in Enterprise.

The win did not come easy for the Huskies as there were numerous points in the match Elgin found themselves down by 10 points. Enterprise started the match with a 25-22 first set win, with Elgin battling back in the second set, 25-18, to even up the match at one set each.

The third set went to the Huskies 25-22 and the fourth and deciding set went the way of Elgin only after the two teams battled back and forth and the match was sent to extra points before the Huskies won, 27-25.

“I was really pleased with the amount of grit the girls displayed,” said Elgin head coach Tianna Murphy. “They were mentally tough and bounced back quickly from any mistakes. We had great serve/receive and great serving.”
