The Bulldogs made the trip to La Grande riding a three-game win streak and posting only a single loss on the season prior to meeting the Tigers.
“We knew the things we had to work on going into this game,” said La Grande head coach Kaleb Rainsberry. “We start games well, but then struggle when we face the other team scoring and adversity. The focus versus Baker was to keep out heads and stay in the game mentally.”
Kason Carlson started the scoring for La Grande in the first half with a goal off a penalty kick. The Tigers led 2-0 at the half after a goal, again off a penalty, from Pedro Campanha Buccini.
