Formerly unranked in the top 10, Maverick Tidwell-Stone (58), Ryan Vermillion (64) and the rest of the Leopards’ team are now eighth in the newest state coaches’ poll.

WILSONVILLE – The news is good for two local football teams as Thursday, Sept. 28 marked the release of the 2A/1A football coaches’ poll released by the Oregon School Activities Association.

Imbler, currently 3-1 on the season, is up in the minds of the state’s coaches one spot to sixth from last week’s standing of seventh. The Panthers are currently fourth in the formal OSAA rankings.

The state’s coaches apparently thought highly of Cove’s win over Pilot Rock/Ukiah last week as the Leopards enter the poll at eighth this week after not making the list the previous voting. The official OSAA rankings list Cove at 11th.
