College volleyball: No. 4 Eastern Oregon sweeps away Bushnell

EUGENE —  Sade Williams delivered nine kills, posted a .132 hitting percentage and Madison Morgan and Mylie Mills combined for 12 kills to lead No. 4-ranked Eastern Oregon past Bushnell, 25-15, 25-20, 25-21, on Saturday, Sept. 30, in Eugene.

The win marks the sixth in a row for the Mounties, who sit atop the Cascade Conference with a 10-1 record in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Eastern is 17-1 on the season.

Mills also showcased her efficiency with a .333 hitting percentage, one of the highest in the game.

Defensively, Eastern Oregon also led with 56 digs and 27 blocks, compared to the Beacons’ 58 digs and 19 blocks. Eastern Oregon’s Hailey Arritola contributed 15 digs in the win.

The Beacons’ Matty Ladd and Halle Neumann each had seven kills and posted hitting percentages of .207 and .222, respectively.

The Mountaineers travel to Ashland on Oct. 6 to face Southern Oregon at 7 p.m.
