PENDLETON — Ken Cook scored in the 60th minute, and Pendleton jumped over La Grande in the Greater Oregon League standings Wednesday, Oct. 4, as the Bucks beat the Tigers 1-0.

The defense of the Buckaroos only allowed the Tigers two shots at the goal, both saved by Pendleton keeper Manny Lopez.

La Grande (2-7-2 overall, 1-1-1 4A Greater Oregon League) will take some time on the practice field, not playing again until Oct. 10 with a trip to Baker City to meet the Bulldogs (6-5 overall, 0-3 4A Greater Oregon League). Both teams are needing the win to stay in contention in the league standings with Ontario leading the GOL followed by Pendleton, La Grande in third and the Bulldogs in fourth.
