College volleyball: Mounties win in four

KLAMATH FALLS — Oregon Tech took the first set, but Eastern Oregon rebounded to win the final three and claim the victory  23-25, 25-20, 25-10, 25-23 on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Ashton Haughton and Keira Vaughn led the offense for EOU, each recording 15 kills. Haughton also showcased her blocking skills with eight block assists, contributing significantly to the team’s total of 18 block assists. Hannah Ledgerwood dished out 18 assists,

On the Owls’ side, Willow Jacobson emerged as the top attacker, recording 12 kills with a .235 hitting percentage.

The Mountaineers improved their record to 19-1 and an impressive 12-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Oregon Tech’s season struggles continue as they drop to 7-13 overall and 5-8 in the CCC.

Eastern Oregon will return to La Grande to face The Evergreen State University on Friday at 7 p.m.
