WILSONVILLE — A win by the Imbler football team over a ranked opponent and a loss by Cove to the second-ranked 1A 8-man team helped both teams in the minds of the state coaches.

The Oregon School Activities Association released the 2A/1A coaches poll on Friday, Oct. 20, with both Imbler and Cove making moves in the 8-man ranks.

The Panthers’ 46-22 road win over Adrian on Oct. 13 boosted Imbler to fifth in the most recent poll, up from sixth last week.

Cove, after falling to Crane 30-0 on Oct. 13, entered the polling in the 10th spot after being unranked the previous week.

Elgin, after picking up its third straight loss on Oct. 13, fell out of the top 10 in the coaches minds.
