High school football: Cove on the road, Imbler waits in playoffs

WILSONVILLE — Early Sunday, Oct. 29, the Oregon School Activities Association released the 8-man football season playoff bracket with two local teams taking different routes to a possible state title.

Imbler, seeded fourth in the playoffs, will not see action in the first round of play after receiving a bye.
The Panthers (8-1 overall) will await the winner of a Crosspoint Christian versus St. Paul game on Nov. 3 in St. Paul.
Cove (5-4 overall), seeded 10th in the playoffs, will be in Enterprise on Nov. 3 to meet the seventh-seeded Outlaws (6-2 overall) with a time yet to be determined. Leopard fans did see the Outlaw team in jamboree play back on Aug. 25. Cove won its final two games to lock up its spot in the 8-man playoffs, while the Outlaws have picked up victories in their last four contests.

The Cove-Enterprise winner will make a trip to Crane on Nov. 10 to meet the second seeded Mustangs.
