Overview: Cove is the fourth team from the Special District 2 still in state contention, winning their final game versus Elgin to make the playoffs (Adrian, Crane and Imbler are the remaining three teams in the district). The Leopards hosted a jamboree in late August in which Enterprise and Cove did take the field and squared off against each other. No scores were kept and both teams have changed dramatically since that sunny day.
The Outlaws open the 1A 8-man playoffs with a home game. Enterprise starts a march towards a state title after winning its final four games with three of the four league contests.
As this is state playoff time, where weather can have an impact. The forecast for Enterprise calls for partly cloudy skies with a possible wet field for the game.
The winner will need to make travel plans for the far reaches of Harney County with a scheduled game against Crane.
