This year, 2023, is the first year the Idaho Department of Transportation has approved a budget over $1 billion, promising big improvements. The Oregon Department of Transportation’s two-year budget is approximately $6 billion plus another $1.4 billion in other funding, yet it is promising cuts in service and maintenance.

Oregon has about 50% more road miles than Idaho, and 370% more money to spend. Seems like something might be rotten in Denmark.
