Library to host Santa Storytime with special guests

LA GRANDE — Children (ages 1-92) are invited to Cook Memorial Library, 2006 Fourth St., La Grande, on Sunday, Dec. 3, for Santa Storytime. The special gathering begins at 10 a.m. in the Community Room and will include songs, stories, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Registration is not required. Call 541-962-1339 to learn more.

Overdose Prevention Workshop held in Cove

COVE — On Wednesday, Nov. 29, the Cove Community Association is hosting two sessions of an Overdose Prevention Workshop at the Cove Ascension School on Church Street. The workshop is 30 minutes; attend at 4 p.m. or 7 p.m.

This workshop, taught by CHD, will help participants identify overdose and learn to administer Narcan, and take home Narcan as well. Free and open to all, this training can help provide life-saving care.

Help kids cope with divorce, separation

LA GRANDE — Learn how divorce or separation impacts your children and what you can do to help them at a workshop offered from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 6 via Zoom. The workshop is facilitated by Mary Lu Pierce and sponsored by the Family Law Advisory Committee. Cost is $30 per person (cash or check only). Pre-registration is required.
