WILSONVILLE — The state’s wrestling coaches appear to have a quandary on their hands. In the recently released preseason boys wrestling poll, three teams, including La Grande, sit at the top of the standings tied with identical vote totals.

The Oregon School Activities Association released the poll on Tuesday, Nov. 28, after voting was completed by the state’s coaches. In the Class 4A poll, La Grande joined Sweet Home and Crook County atop the poll with 86 votes. Tillamook and Scappoose round out the top five in the polling.

In the 2A/1A voting, Elgin places seventh in the voting for the preseason. The state’s coaches have given the nod to Culver as the top team with Illinois Valley sitting in second. Toledo, Lowell and Willamina round out the top five teams in the voting.
