ENTERPRISE — The wrestling season is off to a start for the boys of both Union/Cove and Imbler after the two teams competed in the Enterprise Kickoff on Friday, Dec. 1.

Union/Cove’s 21 points finished third in the team scores behind Pine Eagle’s 54.5 points and champion Enterprise’s 74.5-point total. Imbler, with 18 points, finished one spot behind in fourth.

Union/Cove sophomore Sam Platz did make a statement for the day, winning both his matches and claiming the top spot in his division.

Imbler’s top finish came from freshman Evan Burns, a second-place showing in his class after wrestling to a 1-1 record.

Both the Imbler and Union boys will next be in La Grande for the Muilenburg Tournament starting Dec. 8.
