NORTH POWDER — The Powder Valley boys basketball team closed out its home tournament, the Calvin Hiatt Invitational, with a 51-31 victory over Four Rivers on Saturday, Dec. 9.

The win gives the Badgers a 2-1 finish for the tournament and a 3-2 overall record for the season.

Powder Valley held a comfortable 38-13 margin at the half after putting 18 points on the board in the first quarter followed by a 20-point second quarter.

Sophomore Breyton Golar led Powder Valley with 13 points aided by Range Bingaman’s 11 points.

Powder Valley will have a few days on the practice court before boarding a bus for Union High School on Dec. 14 to meet Elgin (2-2 overall) in the Bobcat Classic.
