High school football: Panthers, Huskies, Leopards, Bobcats land 8-man All-State selections

IMBLER — Local football teams saw a number of familiar names when the 1A 8-man All-State football team was released Dec. 13.

Imbler led with five players being honored. Junior Gabe Harder was named second team for his work as an offensive lineman. Harder was joined on the offense by senior Trevor Treat picking up honorable mention at quarterback. Senior Justin Frost also picked up honorable mention for his receiving work this past season.

Switching to defense, Imbler was represented by senior Jeremiah Martin named second team defensive tackle. Frost doubled up on both sides of the ball, also being named second team as a defensive end. Trevor Treat also found his name twice as a second team defensive back. Senior Henry Treat was named honorable mention as a linebacker.

Elgin was represented by senior Ty McLaughlin on the honorable mention list as quarterback in addition to second team honors as a linebacker.

Union also had a single representative with senior Elijah Gliddon picking up honorable mention as a defensive tackle.

Cove senior Wyatt Burgess placed the Leopards on the list after the receiver was an honorable mention selection. The second Leopard came in the kicking game as junior Caleb Carson was named second team.
