BlueMountaineers play for community dance

LA GRANDE — The BlueMountaineers will provide the music for a community dance on Saturday, Dec. 30, from 6-9 p.m. at the Union County Senior Center, 1504 N. Albany St., La Grande. Admission is $5, or free for ages 12 and younger. The evening features a finger food potluck.

Join the Reindeer Run fun Dec. 23

LA GRANDE — The annual Reindeer Run is slated for Saturday, Dec. 23, in La Grande. Runners are encouraged to dress up like a reindeer, elf or other holiday character and join the fun for an approximately 4-mile run visiting various care facilities over a 90-minute period. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at La Grande Middle School, 1108 Fourth St. (meet on the K Avenue side).

Organizers say, “We carry on this annual tradition of awesomeness by spontaneously singing some Christmas songs to spread some holiday cheer. No cost, no timing, no pressure to go fast. We usually make a few people smile, high-five who we can and we laugh at our own jokes.”
