WILSONVILLE — If you knock off the top team, you take over the top spot. That appears to be the thinking of the state’s boys basketball coaches as the coaches basketball poll was released Wednesday, Dec. 20, by the Oregon School Activities Association.

After beating previously unbeaten and top-ranked Crane, Union takes over the top spot among the state’s 1A teams. With a perfect record thus far, the Bobcats pushed Crane (6-1) into the second slot.

Imbler slid one spot to seventh in the polling after sitting in sixth last week. Cove picked up votes among the state’s coaches but failed to garner enough votes to crack the top 10.
