Intro to ceramics class offered at Josephy Center

JOSEPH — A two-session beginner class in ceramics will be led by local artist Julia Allen on Jan. 10 and 13 at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture.

Allen, a Wallowa County native, found her passion for pottery later in life, proving that artistic expression knows no age, according to a press release.
The first session includes hands-on experience with hand-building and a captivating wheel throwing demonstration. In the second session, learn the art of glazing your crafted piece.
The two available sessions are Wednesday, Jan. 10 and Jan. 17 from 6-8 p.m. Sessions also are available Saturday, Jan. 13 and Jan. 20 from 9-11a.m.

The classes will be held at Josephy Center at 403 Main St. in Joseph.
The cost is $50 for the two-session class and covers the cost of all supplies, tools and materials. Preregistration required, as spaces are limited. Register online at https://josephy.org/calendar/category/classes/.
