BAKER — La Grande wrapped up the Eastern Oregon Holiday Crossover with a 2-1 record after beating Imbler, 69-62, on Friday, Dec. 29, in Baker City.

Late turnovers in the game handed La Grande the victory after the Tigers fell to Burns the day before. The Panthers led at the half, 26-25, over the Tigers. La Grande struggled in the third quarter, adding only five points to their total. The fourth quarter saw the struggles switching to Imbler with only a 12-point showing while the Tigers rebounded for 18 points.

“This was a tough loss and I thought we played hard,” Imbler head coach Tonny Haddock said. “We struggled with their size and spacing a little and I didn’t do a good enough job helping my kids adjust to it.”

In the loss, Imbler picked up 23 points from Justin Frost, while Jake Bingaman added 15 points and Henry Treat ended the game with 11 points.
