High school girls wrestling: State’s coaches drop Tigers in poll

WILSONVILLE — With the girls wrestling season meeting the halfway mark, the state’s coaches have voted on what has occurred so far with the release of the midseason girls wrestling poll, released by the Oregon School Activities Association on Friday, Jan. 19.

La Grande fell two spots from the previous preseason poll and are now ranked fifth in the 4A/3A/2A/1A division.

Sweet Home, fifth in the preseason poll, jumped to first in the latest voting, while Crook County slipped to second. Tillamook and Siuslaw are ranked ahead of La Grande.

The Bulldogs of Baker/Powder Valley, fourth in the preseason poll, are now out of the top 10 in the latest poll.
