ELGIN — The Elgin girls basketball team split its weekend of Old Oregon League action.

The Huskies picked up a win on Saturday, Jan. 27, posting a 49-37 win over Griswold. The win over the Grizzlies came on the heels of a 44-18 loss to Union Jan. 26.

Team and individual statistics were not provided for the weekend’s games by Elgin staff.

Elgin (7-10 overall, 3-2 1A Old Oregon League) play an additional game before the hometown crowd on Thursday, Feb. 1, welcoming the lady Golden Eagles of Nixyaawii (6-10 overall, 3-3 1A Old Oregon League). This will be the first meeting of the two teams this season.
