Devotional broadcast for young adults set for Feb. 18

NORTHEAST OREGON — On Sunday, Feb. 18, the Baker City 2nd, Enterprise, and La Grande 3rd wards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold a ward conference with a member of the Stake Presidency and their bishop speaking during Sacrament service. In other locations, a member of the Stake High Council and their companion will speak, and Sunday school classes will be held during the second hour.

The “Come, Follow Me” lesson for the week of Feb. 11 is based on 2 Nephi chapters 3-5, which is found in the Book of Mormon. In these chapters Lehi prophesied about the coming forth of a great seer (Joseph Smith) and the Book of Mormon. Lehi’s posterity also separates into two groups based on their belief in his teachings about the heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Young adults of the church are invited to grow closer to Jesus Christ by attending a worldwide devotional for young adults to be broadcast on Feb.18. Elder Ulisses Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Rosana, will share messages specifically for young adults ages 18-30. Visit the church’s website for more information.
