1:44 p.m. Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a juvenile disturbance at Stella Mayfield Elementary School.

2:58 p.m. La Grande police received a call about shoplifting at the Chevron/Jacksons Food Stores. An officer arrested Tyler John Sheridan, 33, for third-degree theft.

5:58 p.m. Union County Sheriff’s Office received a request for a welfare check for a missing person in Elgin. A deputy made contact and the person returned home.

SUNDAY, FEB. 25

5:14 a.m. La Grande police arrested Justin Alan Lawrence, 28, on a probation and parole detainer.

1:20 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a disturbance on the 10500 block of H Avenue in Island City.

8:17 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about suspicious circumstances at KFC.

MONDAY, FEB. 26

8:58 a.m. Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Calvin Sparks, 25, on a Wallowa County probation detainer.

4:41 p.m. Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wendy Kae Cox, 56, on a Douglas County warrant.

4:55 p.m. A caller told law enforcement about harassment at the Legacy Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership.

TUESDAY, FEB. 27

11:22 a.m. Walla Walla Police Department arrested Robert Joseph Frates, 40, on a Union County warrant with original charges of two counts of first-degree burglary, second-degree robbery, fourth-degree assault, possession of a burglary tool or theft device, second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree theft and being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon.

3:42 p.m. Union County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle accident on Curtis Road in Union. A deputy arrested Joshua Cislo, 37, transient, for unauthorized use of a vehicle and first-degree criminal mischief.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 28

2:26 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a possible drug law violation at Pinehurst Apartments. The information was forwarded to the drug task force.

2:30 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a call about shoplifting at Walmart in Island City. Deputies arrested Jordan Arthur Isaac Leonard, 21, for second-degree theft.

3:29 p.m. La Grande police arrested Eduardo Villegas Saldana, 37, on a Union County warrant for second-degree arson, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, reckless burning, resisting arrest and assaulting a public safety officer.

5:06 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a trespass at Cook Memorial Library. Officers arrested Barbara Joann Rorden, 38, for second-degree criminal trespass.

8:49 p.m. La Grande police arrested James Jeremie Henley, 45, on a Baker County failure to appear warrant.

THURSDAY, FEB. 29

8:17 a.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a possible drug law violation near Espresso Wagon Coffee Company in Elgin.

9:08 a.m. Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Charles Preston Wilson, 47, on a probation and parole detainer.

1:56 p.m. While out performing follow-up at Green Tree Apartments, La Grande police arrested Briana Stiles, 20, for second-degree criminal mischief.

3:30 p.m. La Grande police arrested Eduardo Saldana Villegas, 37, on a warrant out of Walla Walla, Washington, with original charges of first-degree rape of a child, second-degree rape of a child, child molestation and unlawful imprisonment.

11:43 p.m. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Corey Edward Parker, 45, on a Union County failure to appear warrant with original charges of second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree theft.

FRIDAY, MARCH 1

9:11 a.m. Portland Police Bureau arrested Brendan Leroy Conner, 32, on two Union County warrants. The first was on original charges of driving while suspended or revoked and failure to obey a traffic control device. The second was for failure to appear.

10:34 a.m. Tyler Hulsey, 22, was taken into custody in Umatilla County on a Union County warrant with an original charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

11:14 a.m. Union County Sheriff’s Office cited Brandon Lee James Rachau, 18, in lieu of lodging on two Union county warrants. The first was on original charges of unlawful use of a weapon, second-degree criminal mischief and menacing. The second was on an original charge of driving while suspended.

4:14 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals while at Cove Avenue and 21st Street in La Grande. Alexia Marie Gray, 22, was taken into custody on a failure to appear warrant out of Ada County, Idaho, with an original charge of larceny. Jimmy Spataro, 25, was arrested on a probation and parole warrant with an original charge of fourth-degree assault.

5:07 p.m. La Grande police arrested Charles Cody Johnson, 28, at Walmart in Island City for criminal trespass.

9:12 p.m. La Grande police arrested Sean Robert Stellings, 29, at Walmart in Island City for first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft.
