NEW PLYMOUTH, Idaho — Javelin throwers for the La Grande and Cove track and field teams will need to wait some time before competing as both the Tigers and Leopards open the season’s competition on Thursday, March 14, at the Fired Up At New Plymouth meet in New Plymouth, Idaho.

Idaho schools and track meets do not compete in the javelin event.

Field events for the Tigers and Leopards start at noon with running starting at 2:30 p.m. at New Plymouth High School. A total of 15 teams are scheduled to be in attendance, including La Grande, Cove, Nevada’s Owyhee High School and a host of Idaho squads.
