LA GRANDE — La Grande started off the new season with a 1-0 record after downing Wallowa Valley, 14-2, on Thursday, March 14.

The La Grande bats were moving in the game, putting together 14 hits, including three home runs, two doubles and a triple.

Austyn Meuser took the win for the Tigers, pitching three innings and facing 13 batters. Meuser allowed three hits and struck out one batter.

In relief, Carlee Strand finished up the five-inning game with two innings pitched and four strikeouts.
