LA GRANDE — Coach Walt Anderson and the 3-0 Tiger softball team travels to Idaho to take part in the WPT Classic starting Friday, March 22 and continuing through Saturday, March 23.

Playing a jamboree-style schedule, La Grande opens the tournament against Kuna, Idaho, with the game slated to start at 1 p.m. at Idaho’s Homedale High School. The Tigers will remain on the field for a 3 p.m. game against Idaho’s Timberline High School.

On March 22, La Grande moves to Meridian High School for a game against Burley, Idaho, with the first pitch slated for 9 a.m.

The fourth and final game of the tournament will start at 11 a.m. against an undetermined opponent as the earlier games will seed the teams in attendance.

The tournament will be the final warmup before La Grande begins 4A Greater Oregon League action April 2.
